The Villa is situated less than 1km from Castelnuovo, the centre of the beautiful Garfagnana valley, famous for its mountain lakes, caves and excursions, amidst the Apuan Alps Nature Park.

The Farmhouse commands spectacular views of the mountains and the village below.
Set in sixty acres of forest and hills, with its own swimming pool.
The house has been renovated with taste to the highest standard without losing its originality and has quality furniture and antiques throughout.

Please note this property can be hired in conjunction with Villa Bertagni (which has its own pool too) to accommodate an additional 9 people (total sleeping 18 plus 3)

Apartment Aida (lower):

• Very large lounge with double sofa bed. Sofa bed is situated in alcove and can be closed off from main living room, so is not a traditional sofa bed type place to sleep! It also leads to its own shower room

The property is under one hour from Lucca, around one hour to the seaside and 85 minutes from the walled City of Lucca (voted best Italian City 2004)| 1 hr 3/4 from Florence and only 15 minutes from the mediaeval town of Barga with its ancient architecture, windy cobbled streets and good quality restaurants Best of all is the countryside, the walking, the hillside villages, and the endless opportunities to meander and picnic..........
