The property is spacious & cool, with living room & bedroom, looking straight into the historic & beautiful Square. To add to the atmosphere, the original frescoes on the ceiling have been uncovered. There is a double bedroom, with en-suite shower room with hydro massage shower. There is also a 2nd shower room for guests sleeping on either the double or single good quality sofa beds in the living area.
The living space is open plan with comfortable seating, TV, DVD player, CD player, & dining area, leading to fully equipped kitchen area with washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, fridge.

• The apartment is situated on the first floor.
• The entrance hall leads to an open plan living room/diner and kitchen.
• Room is light and airy, and overlooks the Circular Piazza del Ampiteatro.
• Equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, fridge. CD and DVD player. Good quality, double and single sofa bed.
• Double bedroom overlooking Square, with en-suite shower room with hydro-massage shower.
• Second shower room leading from entrance hall.
• Original 11th Century frescoes on the ceilings.

Prices based on two guests staying area as follows on nightly basis - the weekly prices are per the pricing schedule :

• October through to March - E115 per night
• April and May - E140 per night
• June through to September E150 per night.
• Price includes all utilities, air conditioning, heating.
• If there are more than 2 guests then there is an additional charge of E20 (per stay, and not per night) for the use of the single sofa bed and E40 per stay for the double sofa bed.
• Minimum stay 3 nights

Please note that whilst Lucca is a lively and cultural City all year round, the rules concerning preservation of peace in the area is strict and the restaurants in the Square close by midnight. The apartment has air conditioning so if you want an early night then there is no need to leave the windows open.

The city is sophisticated and it is rare to find noisy, raucous or drunken behaviour. Any outdoor concerts (often by the very famous) take place in Piazza san Michele. The City is a small town in comparison to UK Cities

The apt is set within the Piazza del Ampiteatro, with its coffee bars, restaurants & real Italian atmosphere! There is a beautiful delicatessen just outside for DIY lunches & breakfast, & numerous restaurants at your doorstep. Lucca was voted Italy's best City in 1994, and no wonder - there is a wealth of historic buildings, interesting architecture, cobbled streets, lots of Piazza's for relaxing, people watching and listening to music. There are the famous walls of the city, which are fully intact and wide. - a place for cycling, jogging, picnicking or just relaxing on the grass...

There are lots of cultural events, regular antiques markets, concerts, & of course the designer shops! If you tire of meandering or cycling within the city walls then the coast is 20 mins;Pisa 25 mins; Florence 50 mins; Siena1 hr 40mins; the mountainous region of Garfagnana 40 mins; Barga 40 mins, and of course the beautiful countryside surrounding the city with hilltop villages, plenty of walking..
Leave the car behind A car is not a necessity at this property since it is only 30 minutes by train from Pisa airport.

The city is perfect for a 3 night break, and for a longer stay, the coast, Pisa, Florence, Siena and the Garfagnana are all easily reached by train . If you do bring a car then parking is less than 5 mins away just outside City walls. Loading and unloading at the apartment is permissible.
