The accommodation comprises of a lovingly restored Farmhouse with 5 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms. All set in 22 acres of organic farmland, terraces and chestnut groves below the dramatic mountain peak of Pania del Croce together with a private pool.There is also an optional extra to let a spacious two bedroomed barn (this will not be let separately allowing full privacy).

Both properties are light, airy, spacious and comfortable, and are tastefully furnished with beautiful furniture, much of which is antique. Many original features remain including the chestnut beamed ceilings and fireplace in the Farmhouse.

Despite the traditional ambience of the accommodation, every care has been taken to ensure relaxation and comfort is the key feature of your stay – the owners have ensured that the kitchens are well equipped, that there is a good level of entertainment with Video/DVD players, CD players, and traditional games, and of course that there is plenty of comfy seating!

Garden furniture is good quality, and the pool area is furnished with wooden sun loungers and chairs, with the small poolhouse equipped with plastic tumblers and wine glasses. Pool towels are provided too.

There is also a covered heated spa area for the romantics in the party, or for enjoying post dinner drinks!

And for Al fresco dining, the choice is yours! There are three terraces, a working pizza oven, BBQ, or for a special treat why not book a gourmet meal served on site by the owner who is a qualified and experienced chef?
For when you cook yourself, then seasonal produce is available at the farm, a shopping service can be arranged, or you can even book yourself in for a hands-on cookery class!

Casa Promiana is situated in the heart of the Garfagnana 1 hr north of Lucca. It is located within a short drive of the market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana and the town of Gallicano, both of which boast all facilities including bars, restaurants, and train stations for easy exploring.
The beautiful mediaeval town of Barga is only an 8km drive too......with Grotto del Vento just 16km

Whilst set in the depths of the countryside, the property is only a 12 minute walk from a restaurant, and is 2km from a local shop. Only 5km away is a hypermarket.....


Further afield, Pisa is a 90 minute drive, Florence 1 hr 40 mins, Lucca 1 hour or so, The coast is 1 hr 15 mins ....
