There is a large garden and private swimming pool (12 m x 6 m) ,and the house boasts three al fresco eating areas - a large covered terrace , an enormous uncovered terrace, gazebo, and two BBQs.
Inside, the large living room has vaulted beamed ceilings, open fireplace and some exposed brickwork, with TV, DVD and CD player as well as comfy seating.
The kitchen diner has a traditional feel, again with beamed ceilings, but the kitchen itself is modern and well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher etc.
There is a sofa bed in the downstairs hallway area, so it does not disturb living arrangements upstairs.

• From the living room one finds the kitchen diner, with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and dining table. A modern kitchen but given a traditional feel with the beamed ceilings

• The living area also leads out onto large covered terrace perfect for those cooler nights, and also offering shade for mid day eating..... The terrace overlooks the garden and pool, with views of uninterrupted countryside.
• Downstairs there are 2 spacious double bedrooms and a twin room, which has the benefit of an en-suite shower room.
• There is a further shower room downstairs, with hydromassage shower. The washing machine is also kept here.
• There is a large entrance hall with double doors leading out to garden.
• This entrance hall area houses the sofa bed, so one can use the bed, and not have the living room disturbed!

Casa Casatico is set a 15 minute or so walk from the very pretty village of Casatico which is set in the heart of the green and mountainous Garfagnana region of Northern Tuscany. The village is 1 hr 15 mins north of Lucca, less than 2 hrs from Florence and 90 mins. from Pisa.

Castelnuovo is famous for its Thursday morning markets in around 20 mins. or so away and the mediaeval town of Barga 40 mins.

 Garfagnana with its stunning scenery is perfect for walking, picknicking, relaxing, visiting countless hilltop villages, visiting the National Parks of the region.

The closest larger village is Camporgiano around 2km away - there is a small supermarket, shops, bars, restaurants, pharmacy, and train station for easy exploring of the area.
