Il Mughetto is a recently restored Tuscan House with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathooms, and private pool, overlooking hay meadows, a market garden and wooded hillsides, with the alpuane mountains in the distance.
Very well equipped, with lots of modern conveniences, this house has not lost its original characther with plank floors, terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, and the original granite staircase. The upstairs bathroom is also is a clever mixture of traditional and modern, with the romantic stand alone claw feet bath, and period accessories, complimented by the modern shower unit.
There is a garden with a lawn, mature fruit trees, A fig, a palm and lillies of the valley, along with a pool and a shaded pergola for eating al fresco. There is also a terrace surrounding the house and a brick built BBQ.
The flattish nature of the garden makes it ideal for children.
The house is ideal for walkers with many walking tracks and bicycle tracks starting at almost the door, but if you preference is to relax in the garden then the pool area gets the sun for most of the day .......

Il Mughetto is situated about 100 meters from its nearest neighburs in the little hamlet of Roccalberti, in the heart of the Garfagnana.

1 mile away is Camporgiano, with its restaurants, supermarkets, small weekly market, privately owned castle, and train station.

Around 1 hr 15 minutes north of the beautiful mediaeval town of Lucca and just 15/20 minutes from the town of Castelnuovo famous for its Thursday morning market. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants to chose from.

The house is around 90 minutes or so from Pisa, 2.5 hrs from Genoa, 30 minutes from the lively town of Barga and medieaval say 1 hr 15 minutes from the coast.

There are plenty of opportunities to explore local towns, hill top villages, to walk and picnic, ride horses, fish, or simply relax.
A good choice for total seclusion yet with conveniences only a short car ride away.
