Vallecchia Sotto is situated in approximately one hour north of Lucca in the Garfagnana, high in the hills of Northern Tuscany.
The views and walking opportunities are the real attraction of this property but there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the market town of Castelnuovo, famous for its Thursday morning market (15 mins drive) and also in the beautiful mediaeval town of Barga which is a 20 min drive. There is a small bar / shop for basic necessities in two of the closest villages one of which is less than a km away. Airports Pisa-80 mins, Florence 1hr 50 mins; Genoa 2 hrs 30 mins; Milan 3 hr 15 mins, Bologna 2 hrs 30 mins (Forli care over 3 hrs).
