A large and beautiful house in the magnificent Garfagnana region. We were 13 people staying in the house and everyone was very happy. When we checked in, a thunderstorm had knocked out the power, but the very helpful host Gabriele arranged for a generator so we got the electricity back. Thank you! The village of Camporgiano is about a kilometer away and offers some nice restaurants, shops, and cafés. One disappointment was that the trains from the village weren't running as promised, as we had planned several day trips by train. However, we did take a bus to the beautiful city of Lucca. Overall, it was a wonderful holiday week in a fantastic house!

We had a wonderful holiday in this great house. We - 2 couples in our 60s - used to go on holiday with our children. Now our 5 children and their partners - all in their 30s - wanted to go on another holiday like this.
So we ended up with 12 people in this great house in the middle of the mountains around Camporgiano. The owner Gabriele gave us a warm welcome and was always available for us.
He made us feel welcome right from the start. The house has a great layout, perfectly suited - 2 parts of the house with 4 rooms each and a total of 6 bathrooms.
We particularly enjoyed the huge pool. There is also a stone-built pizza oven in the garden where we baked homemade pizza. Mega!
The surrounding area is beautiful and the small bars are perfect for breakfast, aperitifs and dinner. We had a great time. The house is absolutely recommendable. Mille grazie Gabriele.

We spent 1 week with our friends (4 families; 8 adults and 9 children) in the house (actually 2 semi-detached houses) for 1 week at Pentecost. The property is quite large and so you can easily retire with a book.
The pool offers enough space for young and old. The pizza/bread oven was a highlight for us and it was a lot of fun to use it. (A little tip: you can buy firewood in the garden center next to the Carrefour Express in Camporgiano).
On site we were greeted very friendly by the landlord and the contact was uncomplicated and very hospitable. A small circular path runs west from the house, which is worth a short walk. Here you have another great view of the beautiful landscape. We were lucky enough to be able to watch the fireflies here after sunset. There were an unbelievable number of fireflies (June/July is the mating season), it was a spectacular spectacle. Lucca and Pisa are definitely suitable for some sightseeing with a little driving time. All in all it was a successful holiday in an impressive landscape and a cozy house.
