This ‘Mulino’ complete with traditional Tuscan Arches, is situated in the depths of the countryside from Lucca, and is on the outskirts (1.5km ) of the pretty Media Valle village of Coreglia, where one can find all basic facilities and two restaurants.
The mill, restored in 2004 and spanning 180 sqm, has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one with hydromassage tub) and provides unique holiday accommodation with its riverside location, open countryside, and own pool. A great adventure for children!
The property has both a rustic and refurbished feel combined, with traditional style kitchen/diner, original fireplace, some beamed ceilings, rustic style loggia and natural grounds… these features are combined with modern bathrooms and bedrooms, and the brand new pool.
This is a real country style holiday home, but with the amenities of a village relatively close to hand, and lucca just a 40 minute drive.

A little about the area
Pass beside the famouse Devil's bridge on the way up from Lucca,
and 20 minutes later you will reach this old Mill
ocated 500M down an unmade track road, beside a trout stream.
The
very pretty village of Coreglia with its basic shops and two restaurants is only a 1.5km walk (uphill). and there are plenty of other places to eat within a 15/20 minute drive.
For days out:
- Lucca: Coreglia itself is situated in the Media Valle part of the Comune di Lucca, only a 40 minute drive from the wonderful walled City of Lucca itself where one can cycle or walk the ample intact walls, visit the 100 churches, climb towers, designer shop til you drop, go to concerts, daily opera recitals, or just people watch with coffee or prosecco in one of the many piazzas. Dining is a treat.
- Pisa with its famous leading tower- 1 hour
- Beaches of the Versilia - 1 hour
- Florence - 1 hour 15 mins
- The majestic Garfagnana is only a 20 minute drive away with its National Parks and stunning scenery, good local food, and ancient fortress.
- If you like adventure then there are various country adventure parks with zip wiring, tree climbing, rock climbing, caving, river canyoning, paddleboarding etc. Choose from Parco Levegliese, Orrido di Botri, the river Lima, Buffardello park and Grotta del Vento which is a a fascinating cave system in the mountains. These trips vary from a half hour to 40 minute drive.
- A visit to Barga is recommended - a half hour drive, and here you will find markets under the stars, regular music, well regarded restaurants, and there is alot of art too. Visit the Cathedral commanding this mediaeval town from above and admire the stunning views of the area.
- The real beauty of this area is the hundreds of hill top villages to discover and the wonderful countryside.

We were all thrilled by the great location and the refreshing
pool. Paola is an excellent host and treated us to pizza, honey and
traditional chestnut pancakes with ricotta. All in all, fantastic
and Tuscany is always worth a trip. The village of Coreglia
Antelminelli is also a beautiful village within walking distance to
have a nice meal in the evening. Thank you again dear Paola and of

We spent three wonderful weeks as a family in this great holiday
home with Paola in the summer. After a short search and an
adventurous journey, we found this little paradise and were warmly
welcomed by Paola and treated to dinner with home-baked pizza. The
house is very well equipped, we didn't miss anything here. The
property itself is huge, the children and the dog were able to play
and let off steam here. Everything is actually fenced in or
naturally limited. The nearby stream is also great to explore with
the children (or alone). The pool is large enough and nothing is
missing here either, there are sun loungers and a parasol. In the
village in the immediate vicinity (5 minutes by car or around 1 km
on foot (uphill)) you can find a small supermarket for your daily
needs. A larger shopping center is about 25 minutes away by car.
There is also a restaurant in this village, which offers a
fantastic view over the landscape from the roof terrace. If you
want to go on a beach holiday, you have to be aware that you have
to drive around 1.5 hours. But if you want to enjoy a relaxing
holiday in the mountains of Tuscany in absolute peace, This is the
right place. We will definitely come back and are really looking
forward to it.

Wow what a beautiful place. Hidden in the green. Large swimming
pool plus stream with pools. Paolo is an absolutely wonderful host
with home-made pizza unsurpassedly delicious arrival. On hot days,
a cool breeze is a relief here. Special thanks to hostess Paolo for
the area tips and extra attention.

The lovely Paola instantly makes you feel not only welcome, but
HOME! The welcome was just brilliant and just sympathetic, the
welcome pizzas (often mentioned in recessions) are the best I've
ever eaten. We had a young, large German Shepherd-Malinos mixed in
with us and he could really let off steam due to the almost fully
fenced property -24 hour action if popular and doesn't disturb
anyone- Luckily you are a little off the beaten track in a
fantastic secluded location, no tourists and what else has mass
tourism! No, pure peace yet the ability to be anywhere in a short
time. Then simply "LET SOUL DANGLE" and forget about everyday life
for a few days. Well, you could write a lot more, but experiencing
it yourself makes it truly dreamlike. We will return!!!!!! Thanks
again Paula for everything! You can feel that you don't just care
about the money, but much more about the people behind it! No
matter what, there's always the heart involved! For now it's all
"in a nutshell"!

We've been back in Germany for a few days now. But we will not forget this vacation. Everything was as described in the ad or maybe even a little bit better. Because once you're there, you really learn to appreciate this place. Yes, the journey is a bit bumpy, but that doesn't bother you. Arriving at the house, Paola and her husband, two really good-hearted people, welcomed us. The two live right next door but never disturb the privacy. However, if you need anything they are there. You felt like friends and not like guests. We would rather describe the property as a property because it is huge and very quietly embedded in the forest. The only sounds there are birds and the creek that flows past the property with direct access. The mill is beautiful and well equipped. Yes, the floor cracks here and there, but that's exactly what you would expect from a building from the 1600s. In the house it is always nice and cool so that you can sleep comfortably. The pool is bigger than it looks in the pictures. It was perfect that it wasn't too deep. Our 8 year old could stand in it. Every evening we spent our time on the very cozy terrace until dark. then we went to the meadow to see the countless fireflies. We could watch this spectacle every evening and it didn't get any less fascinating. There is a lot to experience in the area, but this always involves a little driving time. We never got bored. There are enough restaurants and supermarkets in the area so that nothing is missing. Paola spoiled us with pizza on the day of arrival and in between with cherries and other gifts. Thanks for that !!! I could write so much more but that would probably go beyond the scope. Conclusion: the adults were happy, the little one was happy and the dog was happy because he could roam freely on the fenced property. We had a paradise holiday with grandma and our 2 kids. The property with access to the creek is a dream. Qir were by the stream every day and built, played, hiked there with the kids, cooled down. Paola is probably the best hostess you can imagine. She surprised us with homemade pizzas and spoiled us with fresh cherries from the garden. The pool is great. A tiny, well-intentioned criticism: fly nets on the bedroom windows would be great, so that you can ventilate well at night without inviting various insects :-) This place is beautiful and we are very grateful for this holiday there. Unique, quiet location Old mill in a unique, quiet location, neatly converted into a holiday home. Lots of space around the house, which is located along a mountain stream in a green environment. The host welcomes you with his own pizzas, baked in a wood-fired oven.

Very remote, but you are completely undisturbed. The house is clean and tidy. The outdoor area is almost a park with its own stream. The children could play soccer and badminton and then jump into the large pool. We were able to grill and marvel at countless fireflies every evening. Paola was just great. Brought us homemade pizzas and honey. In addition, she took care of every concern as quickly as possible and in a friendly manner. It was just fantastic! We would love to come back next year.
