Please note that one of the double bedrooms and one of the twin bedrooms form a particularly large family sleeping area, separated by a substantial wardrobe rather than a full dividing wall and door. This arrangement can work especially well for parents and children.

A particularly useful feature for larger groups is the additional kitchen and dining area, with direct access to the outdoor sunbathing area.

The pretty hillside village of Cardoso is just 3km away, with a traditional Tuscan restaurant, small shop and summer village festivals. There are other restaurants nearby, including a popular lakeside restaurant, while Gallicano, less than 10 minutes away by car, has a large supermarket for all your holiday essentials.

• Pisa - approximately 1 hour: Visit the famous Leaning Tower and historic city centre.

• Orrido di Botri - approximately 45 minutes: Discover a spectacular natural canyon in the mountains.

• Adventure - Lucca Rafting - 15 mins; Parco Levegliese with water canyoning 20 mins; Buffardello zip wire and climbing park 35 mins
