to create a modern property with pristine bathrooms, which still
retains country charm.
The house is perfectly planned to accommodate 2 families, with a little privacy, since there is a double, and a twin bedroom, with shower room on one floor, and a double, and twin room, with shower room on another also.
Most rooms are double aspect, with fantastic views over the countryside.

A little about the area
Poggio is a small mountain village situated approximately 50
mins North Of Lucca, and 8km from the local market town of
Castelnuovo, with its various bars & restaurants, and
well-known Thursday morning market.
Poggio itself a train station perfect for exploring those larger
towns in air conditioned comfort.
The property is situated in its own extensive grounds/orchards. The views from the house are absolutely beautiful, with the garden enjoying uninterrupted views over the Serchio Valley, which itself is nestled between the Apennine, and Apuane mountain ranges.
A perfect place for walking, fishing or just enjoying the
countryside.
Lucca is 50 mins away; Barga 40 mins; Pisa 1 hr 20 mins, Florence
circa 2 hrs.

Everything was fantastic, the host, the house, the pool, the
view! High in the mountains.
Village nearby. The road down the coast is a bit hard, but reality
cool to experience!

We had a wonderful week. Everything was great, the pool, the
hosts and the grounds. We were given lots of tips for excursions in
the surrounding area and there is a river right next to the
property which we explored with the children and dog.

We had a pleasant stay in this rental. Very pleasant house,
clean and well equipped but a little dark. Very nice home.
Beautiful region but location far from the sites if you wish to
visit (very winding roads) on average 1 hour 30 minutes, ideal for
walkers or to relax in peace. Beautiful swimming pool, too bad it
is not a little heated, a little cool for me. I recommend this
rental.

What a beautiful haven in the Tuscan Hills, away from
everything. Communication from the agents and manager was
exceptional - and we had a full induction shortly after arrival.

We were here for the second time and were perfectly happy again! A clean well equipped house in a picturesque setting with two lovely terraces and a great large well maintained pool. It's also great that there is a pizza oven and enough wood is provided, which we were happy to use. Although you should be prepared to have to get into the car for most destinations, such as shopping, it is precisely this isolated location that we are looking for as a balance to a relaxed holiday. Special thanks to Ilario, who was always friendly, gave good tips for the area and exceeded all expectations with his quick and energetic help when the car broke down. Sorry that we didn't leave the house so clean this time because of the hasty departure and the rain. We'd love to come back!

A wonderful place where we would go on holiday again at any time.
Quiet location, fantastic nature and great pool. Our had plenty of
space to romp. The pool area is fully fenced, the cottage well
equipped. The view from the pool an absolute highlight. Gladly
again!

It was a week of total relaxation, surrounded by greenery and tranquility. We have certainly rested and the house has all the comforts you want, with the possibility of eating outdoors and enjoying a wonderful view.

A comfortable villa, with good walks on the doorstep - within easy reach of Lucca, Pisa etc. Functional, yet comfortable - well-equipped kitchen. We were a group of 2 families - location and house worked well for us. Lovely town nearby (Castenuovo)- with decent supermarket and good for ice-creams and restaurants! Owner extremely welcoming and friendly - gave us some great pointers for local days out.
