Flexible Group Accommodation with Private Pool & Hot Tub. Beautiful views!- Sleeping 12 plus 2 Ideal for larger families or groups of friends wishing to
holiday together whilst still enjoying some personal space, this
property is arranged across two neighbouring houses which are let
together exclusively to one group. Situated at the edge of a tiny historic hamlet with no
facilities, the accommodation can sleep up to 14 guests in total
and comprises: A separate renovated house divided into two self-contained
modern apartments: Each unit has its own living and kitchen facilities, allowing
smaller families or couples within the group to enjoy independence,
whilst still sharing outdoor areas and dining spaces. The two houses are positioned close together and share the
outdoor facilities. A very small rural path runs between the
buildings, occasionally used by locals on foot, although vehicle
access is extremely rare. Guests have exclusive use of: There are several outdoor dining areas, including a fully
equipped kitchen beneath the cottage loggia, enabling the whole
group to cook and eat together with ease. Sleeping & Layout: Total capacity: up to 14 guests A little about the area: The popular medieval town of Barga can be reached in
approximately 20 minutes, whilst the historic walled city of Lucca
is around 1 hour away. Pisa, with its famous leaning tower, is
approximately 1 hour 15 minutes by car, and Florence can be visited
in around 2 hours. Nearby lakes include Gramolazzo where you can swim, and Vagli -
with its submerged village and famous zipwire. The real beauty of this area lies in its dramatic mountain
scenery, peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to experience a
non-touristy part of Tuscany, with numerous small historic villages
hosting local festas during the summer months.

Situated in beautiful surroundings within the Garfagnana area of
Tuscany, the property is ideal for guests wishing to relax or
explore the many walking routes and footpaths throughout the
surrounding mountains.
The local market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is just over a
5-minute drive away and offers a good selection of shops, bars,
restaurants and a weekly market.
The famous Wind Caves are around a 40-minute drive away, as is a
local adventure park offering activities such as river
canyoning.
The Fortress at Verrucole is a popular local attraction with
stunning views and interactive activities for children. Also close
by is the Buffardello tree climbing and zip wire park, suitable for
both adults and children, where you can take a picnic and spend the
day in the shade of the forest.

Very quiet location, a somewhat adventurous drive to get there,
wonderful houses that were perfect for our four families. The pool
is very clean and safely separated for children, the furnishings
are simple but sufficient, and the pizza oven is especially great.
The washing machine and dishwashers are also really excellent!
Overall, a great location for a relaxing holiday week."

3 separate family areas with a great terrace, pool, and central
kitchen, barbecue, and pizza oven. Lots of fun for the children -
table tennis, table football, etc. Fantastic view and pool. The
owner (Alessandro) only speaks Italian, but he is very welcoming
and made pizzas in the oven. A real recommendation."

We spent 8 days in this traditional house. Unfortunately, we caught the biggest heatwave in the last years - but the pool was really great with 28 degrees and the house was also cold enough (no air-conditioning). The area is beautiful, with amazing views. The owner Alessandro was a great host and we got tomatoes, potatoes, and onions from his own garden. Going out for a meal was very cheap and we did great trips through the hills, Lucca was our fav.
We were pleasantly surprised. The way to the accommodation was
breathtaking, only that would have been worth going there. The view
from the property was also beautiful. The accomodation itself was
good and we were able to split up easily but you spend most of your
stay outside anyway. There are many excursion possibilities. What I
missed were a few more trash cans, we only had one in the cottage
on three floors. I would definitely rent this property
again!!]

The house was exactly as in the photos. It was clean and
nice. The pool was fantastic and was cleaned during the period we
were there. Can recommend this wonderful place to others.

Beautiful location on the mountain, 3 separate houses (2 modern and 1 more rustic part), beautiful views, small drawbacks always go inside for toilet and pool from 4.30 pm in the shade.But otherwise we had a great stay!

The communication with the agency was excellent, all concerns were responded to quickly and helpful. Even our wish to leave at night to avoid the return traffic jam on Saturday was not a problem! The house itself is very beautiful and the outdoor facilities with pool (the lighting is great!), Covered terrace and table tennis table are ideal for spending the whole day here. There is also a separate area with a grill and pizza oven, roofed over with a sink - a real outdoor kitchen. The location in the small town above Castelnuevo brings a great view. The access roads are narrow, but the bus also runs here, so no problem. :-) The only downer: some neighbors in the area have dogs that unfortunately bark a lot at night. And the pans are all very old and should be replaced. There are also shutters in only two bedrooms. Due to the east-south orientation of all rooms, it is very bright in the other rooms with sunrise, which is rather detrimental to sleeping in. ;-) The driveway through the middle of the small town is sometimes made to measure with larger cars, but it is feasible. Alessandro is very friendly and gave us tomatoes and wine from his own production. Unfortunately, he doesn't speak English and we hardly speak Italian - it's a shame that the conversations were always very limited. All in all a great vacation in a pretty house with a fantastic view and a great pool!

The property fully corresponded to our ideas of Tuscany, mountain regions and deceleration. In addition to the large and well-kept pool, a special highlight was a pizza oven with an adjacent barbecue area, both of which were gladly and intensively used. After an evening introduction by the host, we were able to successfully prove our first experiences as a pizza maker. The property is wonderfully embedded in nature with a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. As a special note, it should be mentioned that the driveway to the house is narrow and steep.

Gragnanella is a tiny village (~85 inhabitants) in the hills. The house is just outside the village, overlooking the valley and mountains. The biggest asset is the pool and terrace overlooking all of that. From Gragnanella, you can easily go into the mountains, to the sea, to Lucca, or just enjoy the surroundings themselves. The host Alessandro is super friendly and helpful. Greatly recommended!
